Georgia State Cotton Museum
The Georgia Cotton Museum is housed in a 130 year old one room school house located in Vienna, Georgia, the epicenter of Georgia cotton production. In this setting you will learn about, see, and feel the "snow of the south". Displays tell the history of cotton from seed to finished product. Visitors both young and old will enjoy digging their hands into raw cotton, looking at a "real" boll weevil and comparing it to a giant model of the bug. You can see antique farm implements, a burlap wrapped cotton bale and more.
