Doc Green Grows

Doc Green Grows is a small cut flower farm and art studio located 60 minutes east of Atlanta. Rachel "Doc Green" Winkel cultivates over an acre of cut flowers that are sold to florists and designers from March- October. The farm has a 30 × 72 foot high tunnel that is used year round to grow cut flowers, and a "mini-greenhouse-inside-a-greenhouse" for succulent production. Speaking of succulents, Doc grows hundreds of varieties of unique succulent plants! These are sold at art shows in the Atlanta area in spring and fall. Doc Green Grows is most known for the dried flowers! Doc makes original art in shadowboxes from cut flowers grown on her farm, as well as dried flower wreaths, crowns, ornaments, bouquets, etc. She also does custom wedding flower preservation in shadow boxes. Finally, Doc Green Grows offers horticultural consultations via phone and site visit. Doc has advised homeowners, non-profit organizations, and even fellow farmers on how to successfully grow in that famous Georgia red clay!
